Powerblock is a very popular dumbbell brand. These particular one has a unique squared design that is more compact with a handle built inside that aids in protecting the wrists during workouts unlike other types of adjustable sets. The dumbbells adjust from 2.5 to 50 pounds in increments of 2.5 pounds using a selector pin to switch out the weights. These also have an elastic backup system to prevent a loose plate from falling resulting in injury.

I’m enjoying the ability to work out in my apartment without needing an entire rack of dumbbells.

This Bayou is an individually sold adjustable dumbbell that uses a selector pin mechanism to switch out between different weights. The dumbbell adjusts from 10 to 50 pounds in increments of 10 pounds (they can also adjust in 5 pound increments by removing one plate on one of the ends, although this does result in an unbalanced dumbbell) These are constructed of heavy-duty chrome plated steel for long-lasting use offering a nice value for a dumbbell that can grow with you.

Weights get used 3-4 times a week for P90x workouts. I couldn’t be happier with them.

These are spin-lock adjustable dumbbells with cast iron weight plates that you can easily slide on and off with collars to screw them on tight. The dumbbells come in weights of 40lbs, 50lbs or 60lbs pairs with the weight of the handles and collars. The collars contain a rubber inlay that helps to keep the plates in place and minimize loosening. They have a rubber grip knurled handle that is ergonomic shaped for optimal comfort.

The grip feels good in the hand and for an adjustable dumbbell, i think these are a great buy.

Before you hit the gym for some heavy-lifting you need to have the right pair of shoes for your workout. Weightlifting shoes are designed differently from ordinary workout shoes in that they don’t require as much cushioning or shock absorption. They need to durable and provide stability to allow you to power through your workout. These appear to be a fairly popular choice among weight-lifters with very positive ratings so we chose to review them based on our standards to find out just how well they actually perform.

The shoes are composed with synthetic leather and breathable mesh upper. It has a rugged rubber sole and a slightly cushioned interior sole that is removable to allow for orthotic inserts. They are non compressible, with a flexible forefoot for cross-training. They also feature a mid-foot support Velcro strap in addition to a lace closure for added stability and a padded collar.

These cross-training shoes are designed with weight lifters in mind to offer an ideal shoe for strength training workouts. These have a raised heel to provide flexibility and add desirable depth during squats while helping you maintain stability. Important factors to look for in a suitable weight-lifting shoe which are featured in these include mid-foot support straps to ensure a secure fit, durable quality for heavy lifting, and a solid base that allows you to power through dead lifts while providing support for your ankles. The rubber sole on these shoes provide great traction.

We didn’t really find much of anything to complain about with these shoes. They do run a tad large so we recommend trying on a pair first if possible to find the perfect fit or order at least a half size down. It’s not often we are left with little to no negative notes about our products because we review them with great scrutiny, but what can we say; these are very well designed. These are not designed for walking, running, or any other workout, but then again they’re called LIFT trainers for a reason.
