Nautilus E514c elliptical

Specifications
The Nautilus E514c elliptical is a front drive elliptical with a 17.6lb flywheel, 16 levels of magnetic resistance and comes equipped with a total of 21 workout programs. It also has an Eddy current brake system. The stride length on this elliptical is fixed at 18” and features large articulating foot pedals. The maximum weight capacity is 300lbs and it comes with a 15-year warranty on the frame, 2 years on the mechanics, 1 year for the electronics, and 6 months on the wear parts and labor.

ProsNautilus E514c console
The first thing we noticed on this elliptical trainer is the oversized console. Unlike most models where the cup holder is often inconveniently placed, the console includes a cup/bottle holder and an accessory storage tray. It has a nice compact design and is equipped with 6 levelers to ensure a secure and solid platform for working out. It operates smoothly and quietly with a natural 18” stride length. In addition to the nice console, other features include a built-in fan with 2 speeds, contact heart rate monitoring that is also telemetric enabled, a retractable reading rack, and two speakers.

Cons
The instructions for assembling the unit were very clear and easy to follow; however we wish the same could be said on how to actually use it. There are no instructions for operating the different programs on the console. Another minor drawback is the sub par sound quality that the speakers put out. It gets by, but you would most likely be better off just using the headphones that come with your MP3 player or turning up the radio if you are wanting to workout to music.

We always strive to provide a thorough review to give our readers a decent perspective of the product. We researched what other users were saying and compiled some of their comments into our Nautilus E514c elliptical trainer review to offer their viewpoints.

The Good

“No regrets – this Nautilus is smooth-gliding, whisper quiet, and amazingly fun to use.”

“It feels very sturdy and heavy and well designed and it fits my 5-foot-2 wife and me (6-ft) comfortably.”

“It’s not as big as the ones in the gym but just as sturdy, it’s a perfect fit for my apartment.”

The Bad

“After moderate use, the machine creaks, but is still somewhat smooth.”

“The fan on this model is basically useless, not even worth the space it takes up on the console!”

“Stands for the feet are not lined, just hard bumpy plastic that makes working out in thin – soled shoes uncomfortable.”

Our Final Thoughts
To conclude this Nautilus E514c Elliptical trainer review, we would recommend this machine for users who are looking for a reliable, compact model. It is an ideal size for small living spaces while still pretty sturdy. For a moderately priced elliptical it does have many nice features; although, don’t expect much from the fan or the speakers. You may want to look online for user instructions on the programs as the unit does not include them, unless you prefer just going it on your own. Overall, this appears to be a quality machine with a decent value and offers a fairly reasonable warranty.
